About Me

We Save Lives...: Superhero Poets (S.H.P) is a non-profit organization dedicated to young adults, ages 18 and up, from the Detroit area that not only posses the highest of skill and talent as both poets and performers, but the knowledge and leadership to educate and guide young people like them. And in addition, help re-build, inspire, and give back to their community. In affiliation with SuperHero Poets, The Sidekicks are a group dedicated to young people from ages 18 and up, to 18 and under, with a love for writing and poetry. And strong desire to grow as poets and performers. Or, in other words, SuperHero Poets. As students, The Sidekicks are given the opportunity to gain first-hand experience by participating in a professional environment that fosters their growth, and receive a number of opportunities to present and possibly publish their work.
